SHANTYMEN

This game is designed to quickly and roughly run game sessions set during the great Age of Sail, and allows you to play soldiers, sailors, whalers, explorers, privateers, and of course pirates. Please come along, and bring your singing voice, as there will be great need for teamwork and coordinated timing to save the mad Cap'n Jane from her obsession. So sign the ledger, prepare your voice, and put to sea!

The game runs on d4, and has a simple skill system that should encompass the vast majority of tasks you might undertake, like singing, swimming, sailing, swording, and shooting. The core mechanic is supplemented with mechanics for resolving combat and getting stabbed to death, and a special rules for singing Sea Shantys to coordinate and succeed as a team. Players are encouraged to sing aloud their favourite songs while playing.
